What is the best way to light my bathroom vanity area?

The best way to  achieve it  by using two light sources that are wall-mounted on either side of the vanity mirror. Use a diffuser that allows light to project outward towards you  as you stand in front of the mirror. DO NOT use an opaque diffuser that directs light up or down.  As well, the color of the diffuser or shade should be white or frosted white for these areas. You should also paint your bathroom vanity area with light color. So that it looks more lighted.

For shaving and putting on make-up, the best light should be even and shadow-free. To achieve this, light should come from above and both sides. Wall sconces should be at least 28 inches apart and centered 60 inches off of the floor. Of course, taller or shorter people can adjust this guideline. If there are no wall sconces being used, the fixture above the mirror should be at least 36 inches to light both sides of your face.
