Learn programming languages (HTML, JavaScript, Java, C++, Perl, etc.). Once you learn one its not that difficult to learn others. The structure of the languages is all very similar (to an extent) and they have a lot of the same features just named differently. Check out hackthissite.org, they have a lot of basic tutorials that you can work though and even some advanced ones at the end that simulate real life situations.
