What is the best way to launch the Jazz?
For a start you could get someone else to launch it. They can use two hands at the leading edge and hold it above their head and then pull it forwards into the air – this is a pretty good launch method. Otherwise, just grab it in your hand at the tip, some prefer fingers on top, others on bottom. If the lift is OK you won’t need to give it much of a throw. The most important thing is that the throw doesn’t cause the plane to roll to either side – that causes problems. You have to aim slightly downwards though, don’t aim up too much or it will stall. Keep your left hand on the elevator stick as the jazz usually pitches up when the wind catches it. If you launch very fast, the Jazz may pull up of its own accord – if so, push SLIGHTLY down on the elevator. You can also use the finger(s) between the elevons trick and it does work OK.
