What is the best way to introduce an outside cat to a new environment/home?

Hi. The best way to introduce a cat to a new home is take it home and leave it in the cage (or whatever you use to carry it in) while you set up its litter box and food bowls etc. This give the cat time to get used to the new smells of the house. Then you want to find a quiet place to put the cat and open the door of the cage and then just leave it. Make sure its near its bed and food and that there is a litter tray in a corner somewhere near by (Not close to its food tho) By doing it this way, the cat will be able to feel safe as and get used to its surroundings without lots of strangers all around it stressing it out. The cat will come out of the cage itself (different personalities take different amounts of time) after its been left to settle in and feel safe you can go to it and try to make a fuss of it and give it some love. I would do this by yourself without any kids (if you have them) and then once you know the cat is calm and not scared you can introduce it to the children if
