What is the best way to install the anemometer?
Before mounting the anemometer you should thoroughly test both wind speed and wind direction. Here’s how to install your anemometer properly. To install the wind cups: 1. Slide the wind cups all the way onto the shaft and then ease them off about 1/16″ to 1/8″ before tightening the hex set screw. This will ensure that the cups to not rub against the rest of the anemometer unit. 2. Spin the cups and verify that there is no friction and that a wind speed reading is displayed on the weather station. Installing the wind vane: You need to install the wind vane in a specific way to ensure that the direction is correct. Place the wind vane on in such a way that it will point to the same direction that the weather station displays. 2. Rotate the wind direction shaft until the weather station display reads 180 degrees. 3. Place the wind vane onto the shaft (careful not to rotate the shaft) wi
