What Is The Best Way To House Train Pit Bull Puppies?
I’m currently training my 2nd, and 3rd American Pit Bull Terrier pups to not “go” in the house. I haven’t had the money for two kennels or crates for them. I take them out about every three hours and repeatedly tell them to “go potty.” Then when they do, I praise them A LOT and they get to have a treat. If they start to go inside, I grab them up and put them out. Pit Bulls don’t respond to negative treatment very well, as they LOVE attention, of any kind really. It’s a process that’s usually taken me about three weeks on average. If you have any messes, baking soda and vinegar works best to clean it up. Clean up any solid matter, sprinkle some baking powder, wait about 5 mins and vacuum it up. Then put some white vinegar on it and blot it out. You may have to repeat. Yelling at them when they potty inside never really works, nor does swatting them, and DEFINITELY NOT rubbing their nose in it. That’s just gross.
