What is the best way to ground an amplifier?
Poor grounding is probably the number one cause of noise problems in mobile electronics. You want your grounds to be as short as possible and the same gauge wire as power. Best way to go is to be bolted to clean metal (take some sandpaper and remove any paint, primer, grease, etc.) on the main pan of the vehicle. Seat bolts and other factory bolts typically provide a very poor ground since they are often anodized or treated in some other fashion.
