I am a college student majoring in anthropology and computer science, and would like to head somewhere outside of the Americas. For many, the United States is the best starting place for opportunities abroad. Why not focus on securing a position with a company headquartered in the United States, but with operations overseas? You can then leverage your domestic experience with that firm for a position that involves international travel or relocation. With the United States currently experiencing low unemployment and high demand for skilled professionals, you have a good chance of finding a great job locally that may lead to travel later on. My situation is as follows: I am an IT professional who has found a special niche in the computer field (spatial analysis).
