Often times a good way to get noticed is to have good referrals to build your image and reputation. Conventional marketing (ads) is always a good idea, but it can be pricey with small returns, especially for a company without any history. As you probably already know, cleaning can be a very personal thing, and people want to hire people that they trust to do a good, honest job. So, asking a recognizable business to allow you an opportunity to clean for them at a discount can give you an opportunity to add them to your resume. And in times when you’re just starting out and can’t afford to buy ad space or send out flyers, etc., just clean for anyone and everyone who’s willing to hire you. Do a great job, and you’ll get more calls! Then one day you’ll have the money to throw around on mailings to reach even more people.
