What is the best way to get rid or fleas on a dog ?
First of all, just getting rid of the fleas ON your dog isn’t likely to solve your problem. By now, there are undoubtedly fleas and flea eggs in the dogs bedding and in your carpet and upholstery etc., etc.. First step is to get rid of the fleas that are not on your dog. First, if your dog has bedding, wash it in HOT water, or better yet, get rid of it. Then focus on the carpet etc.. You could use a bug bomb, but if you want to use something a little less toxic, try this. Get a shallow pan (like a sheet cake pan), fill it half way with water and then put some liquid dish soap in it (couple of squirts). Put the pan on the floor near where the dog sleeps and position a lamp right next to the pan. Leave the light on during the night. You’ll have to do this for some time, maybe two or three weeks. The fleas are attracted to the light and jump towards it only to end up in the pan where the soap makes them drown. Wash your dog with a good flea shampoo once a week for a month and get a good f
