What is the best way to get from the Monte Carlo Hotel to visit the Fremont Street exhibit?
Answer Monte Carlo is in the “South Strip” area and Fremont Street is in the “Downtown” area, which unfortunately are at opposite ends of Las Vegas’ tourist district. There is a brand new monorail system opening up tomorrow, July 15th, but it will only go as far as the Sahara hotel, which is only about halfway from Monte Carlo to Fremont Street. There are city buses, but in my opinion they aren’t worth the hassle, and it would take a long time. If you are interested in taking a city bus, visit: http://www.rtcsouthernnevada.com/cat/routes/index.php and take a look at route 302. It picks up in front of the Tropicana hotel (about 1/4 mile from Monte Carlo) and drops off on Fremont Street. On the way back it picks up on Fremont and drops off in front of New York-New York (next to Monte Carlo).
