What is the best way to get around Vancouver while there during the Games?
You can get around Vancouver by taking the Translink Public Transportation Network including: the city bus, the subway (it connects the airport to the downtown) as well as the Sea Bus (it connects Downtown Vancouvers Waterfront Station with North Vancouver at the Lonsdale Quay). Taxis are also available but they will be in high demand. We do NOT recommend that you drive or rent a car. Parking is expensive, especially downtown and you will not be able to drive in many areas. If coming from the States, you can fly or drive. It is roughly a 3 hour drive between Seattle, Wa. and Vancouver depending on the wait at the border which can exceed a one hour wait. Amtrak and various inter-city bus lines connect the larger West Coast Cities.
