What is the best way to first get started with IDNow?
The first thing that must be done is to create a new database. You should then enter the setup details for the database. Next you should setup your User Defined Fields. This should be done keeping in mind what information you want printed on your cards. You should also tell IDNow which fields are used for Title, First and Last Names, Preferred Name in the Special Use column, this allows IDNow to concatenate these fields into one field for printing if desired. You should now create your card layout/s and set which layout is to be used as the default in the default layout setup. At this point you should enter or import the Card Details. You should now be able to print cards based on the layout assigned to each card detail record.
