What is the best way to feed rosehips to my horse?

Rosehips are great for iron, vitamin C, kidney health, the lungs, and they promote strong, healthy hoof growth. The best way to feed rosehips is by making a tea out of them. Harvest the rosehips when they have turned from green to red. Then lay them out (not on aluminium – this kills off the vitamin C) and let them dry until the skin is slightly shriveled. Once they have dried cut them in half and remove all of the seeds and tiny hairs from the inside of the rosehips. You can then allow them to dry further. To make a tea, place 4-6 rosehips in the bottom of a non-aluminium pan, cover with cool water and bring to the boil. Once the water has boiled, let it cool again. Remove the rosehips from the water, and pour it over the horse’s grain.
