What is the best way to eat vegetables?
The best way by far, wherever possible, is raw. NOT cooking vegetables retains all the natural nutrients. If they must be cooked, minimal cooking is best, like 10 minutes in a steamer. Broccoli is lovely when it is still green and crunchy and my favourite! Carrot can be grated raw. On the other hand, my mother insists sprouts should be boiled for 8 weeks. Come October she will start the veggies for Christmas dinner!
