What is the best way to clean a stainless electric kettle from the inside and outside?
I’d try boiling some water with about 2 tablespoons of salt and one tablespoon of lemon juice to clean the inside. When it boils, swish it around really well and then rinse very thoroughly. The salt will agitate any build up and help break it down so it washes away and the acid in the lemon will do the same thing as well as leave it with a nice smell. That’s how we used to clean kettles when I worked as a waitress. On the outside, you could use something like those pre-soaked SOS pads–you wet them and then scrub, but if it has a surface that could be easily scratched, I’d try toothpaste with an ordinary tooth brush or a rough sponge.
