What is the best way to clean a Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig?
There are two (2) ways you can clean a Hairpiece or Wig. The wrong way and the the right way. • The wrong way is to remove it and wash it in a sink. • The right way is to pin the Hairpiece or Lace Front Wig to waterproof head block; dampen the hair; spray a mixture of 50/50 water and shampoo mixture onto the hair; let it work to loosen any dirt or scalp oil; and then rinse out shampoo, dirt, and oil from the hair. TIP: DO NOT MASSAGE HAIR WITH FINGER TIPS. LET THE SHAMPOO WORK FOR ‘5 TO 10 MINUTES’ BEFORE RINSING. • To keep the hair looking fresh and so it will last longer; spray the damp hair with a 50/50 water and conditioner mixture; and let it remain on the hair. • To finish up; place a dry towel over the damp Hairpiece or Wig; and press gently to dry hair. TIP: DO NOT MASSAGE. THIS CAUSES TANGLING OF THE HAIR. • Once the hair is almost dry (damp); comb or style the hair using rollers or curls, as desired; let dry at room temperature.
