What is the best way to charge and condition my new battery?
To insure your new battery works properly, charge the battery fully (overnight) and drain it fully (completely dead). Do this three times. This will insure that your battery operates at its maximum capacity. This recommendation includes all cell phone, digital camera and camcorder batteries. You can discharge your battery by unplugging the AC adapter and leaving the device turned on until the battery completely discharges. When charging your battery, a very slow charge works best. The battery should be charged at least 14 hours the first time you charge it. Use a charger that is plugged into a wall socket (not a car charger) to charge your battery the first time few times.
