What is the best way to carry money to India?
Traveler’s checks are considered the safest way of carrying money while traveling. Converting traveler’s checks to Indian Rupees (INR) in India is advisable since all commercial transactions are mostly in INR. Credit cards are also a good way, and relatively safe. They are useful for shopping inside the Ashram and in most cities. They are not useful for taxis and some other basic things.
