What is the best way to care for a twisted ankle?
As with most injuries of that type, the best way to care for it is RICE — Rest Ice Compression and Elevation. This may be hard if you’re walking around all day; it might be a good idea to take it easy for a day or two, because you stand a chance of injuring it further. You should go get an Ace bandage as soon as you can. Use that and ice your ankle, and when you get a chance, elevate it, ideally above your heart. Just putting it on a chair or footrest will really help compared to keeping it down at the floor.
