What is the best way to brush up on speaking Spanish?
My Spanish was about 12 years out of shape when I all but started over. Here’s the approach that worked for me. • Review some lessons. BBC Languages has an excellent selection online, as do many other websites. Put “free” into your web searches if you don’t want to spend lots of money for the basics. Your local public library may also offer resources that you can check out or use as a subscription online. (The Destinos series is rather old now, but it’s still helpful, and you can find it online if you search. It’s good practice for starting to follow spoken Spanish if the radio is racing by too quickly.) • Find a radio station or podcast in Spanish and listen to it regularly, even if it’s so much gobbledygook to you at first.
