What is the best way to attempt to try Ujjayi breath?
1) Inhale and exhale out your mouth in a rhythmic way. Try inhaling for the count of 4 and exhaling for the same amount. Create a sound like ocean waves. 2) When comfortable, begin to close your mouth halfway through the exhale and continue to create the sound as you empty the rest of your breath out the nose. 3) Eventually allow the breath to travel in and out the nose only in an even rhythm that is slightly audible. Remember to keep the awareness of your breath more in the region of the ribcage breathing not only into the front of the body but into the back body and lower side ribcage!
