Read the intro to each section first, then skim the items in bold print, finally, read the entire section. For notes, I advise a lose-leaf binder, lined notebook paper, and four different colored ink pens. In outline form, write the main points (probably those in bold print) in your favorite color, the 2nd most important part in your 2nd favorite color, and so on. Then, when you go back to study, at first you only look at the main points (easy to spot because they are your favorite color!), and when you know those, go to the 2nd color items, etc. It is not likely that you would need to know the 3rd or 4th color notes, but only you can decide how much detail you will need to retain. A’s are 80% organization, 20% brain! And remember, it doesn’t matter how long you take to do an exam – as long as you finish within the alloted time, no one wrties down what time you got your A!
