What is the best way of removing the paint without damaging the tiles?
As you have probably guessed if they are painted decorative tiles the designs on the tile may very well be removed with the other paint in the process.ANYWAY we typically use a liquid paint remover gotten from a paint store or HD. Some will take off both latex and oil based paints and you just brush them off let them lift the paint then scrape with a plastic,wood,or carefullt with a metal scraper.There is something called soy stripper that is not harmful and works great but slower.You must follow all directions on whatever product you use.
