Well… I have two strikes against me going into this response. First, I’m an industry insider. I know all the sites you mention. I know the good, the bad and the downright ugly. Second, I own ForeclosureNet.net so naturally I’m somewhat biased. The good news for you is that I’m also honest… so here’s the rundown: Realtytrac: Made their consumer “claim to fame” by boasting 700,000 foreclosures, etc. The problem with that is this. If there were only 900,000 foreclosures in the past year… and allowing for the display of let’s say… 30 days worth of properties… then the balance of their listings are outdated. We clocked them at an average listing of 10 months old. We’ve seen properties on their site over a year old. As an investor, that’s not very helpful.
