The best way to get help with your genealogical research is to send a message introducing yourself. Describe what you already know about the ancestors you are researching and describe your research objectives or list the questions you are trying to answer. At the end of your message, be sure to put your name and your e-mail address. Some subscribers like to put the city and state where they live, and if they have a P.O.I.N.T membership number they put that, too. You are not likely to find someone on the mailing list who is going to be able to send you all the names and dates you need to complete your genealogy. At best, you will get hints and tips on how to go about Italian genealogical research, and sometimes you find people who are researching the same names or in the same towns in Italy. You may even find a cousin or two, but that is more rare than common. You’ll have the least success by writing that you need anything anyone has on the name GARIBALDI (or whatever). It just doesn’t
