I have received reports of a full pay 3-coin $5 Double Joker machine at Bally’s Park Place, but apparently it has been removed due to being pounded by “pros.” My Cue Card will yield over 100.3% return on that game. Also reported were about fifteen 5-coin quarter machines with the same game (about 99.9% payback with the same card) at the Showboat. There have been occasional reports of All American Poker on quarter Ballys GameMakers, but they come and go. My card will yield about 100.7% on that game. Comps make up most of your positive expectation in Atlantic City, so be sure to join the slot clubs. If you play the high denomination machines, or even if you play a lot of hours on quarters, you should be talking to a host to get the best comps. My most recent Atlantic City survey was in 1997 (Video Poker Times issue 5.5). If you would like to submit a good survey of video poker in AC, it would be worth several complimentary issues of Video Poker Times.
