What is the best version of Night of the Living Dead?
While the remake by Tom Savini held to a lot of the core themes of the original film, there is no substituting for the gritty black and white of the original. The remake is very good however, and Tom had Romero’s blessing to make it (Tom Savini is one of the greatest makeup artists of our time and did the makeup effects for all the original Dead films).
