What is the best vacuum?

There are many good vacuums. I will do a brief overview Stay away from bagless. They have good suction power (rated in inches of water lift) but very low airflow (rated in Cubic Ft per Min). You need a balance of each to clean effectively. Dyson has great advertising, but they are the cheapest vacuum i have ever worked on and won’t last. Bagless also have poor filtration. All that to say, stay with a bagged machine. Hoover’s are probably the best bet from a box store. Bissell, Dirt Devil, Eureka etc are simply junk and will not clean well, filter, or last very long From there i would head to a vac dealer. Miele, Sebo, Simplicity, Riccar, and others are going to be the best vacuums you can buy. If you’re willing to pay over 500.00, you will get a quality vacuum that will last a long time and clean well. If you have hard floor, go with the Riccar pristine or Miele Callisto. The Pristine is the better value If you have little hard floor, then go with the Sebo X4/X5 or the Riccar 8955 or V

Really, “What is the best vacuum for you?” is the correct question. I have had experiences where two friends or relatives have come together to buy a vacuum cleaner at the same time and have bought completely different machines. They received the same information, tried the same vacuums, all at the same time but purchased completely different vacuums.
