What is the best tourist attraction in Washington, DC?
Its hard to name a single best one. If I had to do it then I’d say the
- National Museum of Natural History
- National Air & Space Museum
- Lincoln Memorial
- Vietnam War Memorial
- Washington Memorial
- Korean War Memorial
- Jefferson Memorial
- National Gallery of Art
- Botanical Gardens
Here are my favorites and I’ve seen them all a MILLION times: Lincoln Memorial Natural History Museum http://www.mnh.si.edu/ Vietnam War Memorial Air and Space Museum I have heard the new Spy museum is really cool but have not gone to see it yet (that one is pretty expensive to get into though) Other good places if you have time: Jefferson and Washington memorials (I wouldn’t go to the top of the Washington Memorial it isn’t that great and takes a long time) National Gallery of Art Korean War Memorial Our National Zoo is pretty cool too but you can go to a zoo anywhere right There’s also a new Newseum that is supposed to be really cool and if you are going shopping in Georgetown like suggested above be prepared to spend a lot of money! EDIT—> I also just remembered the Holocaust museum which is by far one of DC’s best BUT to gain a full appreciation it takes at least half a day to fully experience it AND it is very depressing.
