The best time of year to visit Egypt depends on which cities that you wish to see. June through August is incredibly hot in Luxor and Aswan, where temperatures regularly reach above 105 Fahrenheit. If you are visiting during these months our tours will leave early in the morning to avoid the heat. Cairo is not much cooler in the summer. Combine Cairo’s heat, dust, and pollution and your endurance will be quickly tested. This can be the perfect time of year to visit the resort beaches along the Red Sea. Upper Egypt, Luxor and Aswan for example are most comfortable from December through February. These months Cairo can be overcast and cool at night, while Alexandria on the Mediterranean Coast can be rainy and muddy this time of year. It can also be a little cool on the Red Sea beaches in the winter. The best all around time to visit is March through May and September through November.
