What is the best time for an ultrasound?
The best time to see your baby’s face and features is between 26 and 34 weeks. The range is dues to a variety of factors that impact the ultrasound images taken such as the size of your baby, fluids around the baby, positioning of the baby, hydration of the mother, etc. From 28-36 weeks, babies are developing the fat layer that fills in their features so you will be able to see more facial details. For twins, the best time is before 28 weeks of the pregnancy. Please see our Baby Calendar to help you decide when to schedule your appointment.
