What is the best sugar cookie recipe you have ever made?
Without a doubt, my favorite recipe is the Snickerdoodle sugar cookie. You can make the recipe and leave out the cinnamon if you are not a fan and the cookie is still really awesome. Ingredients 1.5 cups of flour 1/2 cup softened butter 1 cup sugar plus 4 tablespoons for rolling cookies 1.5 teaspoons cinnamon for rolling cookies (you can leave it out if you want a pure sugar cookie recipe) 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspook cream of tartar 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter in a mixing bowl for 30 seconds. Add 1 cup of sugar, tartar and baking soda until well blended. Add egg and vanilla and mix until all is incorporated. Begin adding flour a little at a time. You might have to finish it off mixing by hand because the batter could be too thick for the mixer. Cover bowl with plastic wrap a refrigerate for one hour. If you are using the cinnamon, combine it with the 4 tablespoons of sugar in a bowl. Take dough and form one inch balls and roll
