What is the best starter team for pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of time?
I find it helps that you have a partner that is weak to your type, like if you’re fire, have a grass type partner. That helps cover your weaknesses when you face say a water type or anything like that. Your partner can take of it. If you’re going to be Normal type or a Pikachu, any partner works fine. I personally like Pokemon that can defend themselves (i.e. Squirtle learns Protect, Treecko learns Detect) because that comes in handy especially in Monster Houses or stealing from Kecleons. I personally had a Treecko, for speed reasons, and I had a Totodile to back me up. My distance attacks (i.e. Quick Attack) mixed with his brute force was a good combination. Totodile is good for Treecko or Chikorita since Chikorita learns Defensive moves like Reflect and Light Screen so while you set up defenses, Totodile deals out damage. But that’s just me. Just go with a Partner that’s weak to your type and you’ll be fine. Hope this helps.
