What is The Best solution for “Homelessness” ?
I’m not sure there could ever be any solution. Most people end up homeless because they spend their money on drugs and alcohol or gambling. Some runaway teenagers make up Canada’s homeless population. Those kids are either rebellious or they had a horrible home life. There isn’t much one can do about that. The most unfortunate ones are the people who lost their jobs and home or the disabled and elderly who have no one to take care of them. Many homeless people do stay in shelters and have jobs. One of the reasons (not that I’m saying it’s a good one since it’s worse on the street) many don’t stay at a shelter is because of the shady people in the shelters and the chance of infection from said people. There are so many more causes of homelessness that I haven’t mentioned, like unemployment and psychological trauma.
