I would suggest getting a photo printer if you’re going to print them at home. Best free software, probably picassa. Top of the line for purchase software, without a doubt Photoshop. If you only need to make a copy or two, I’d take them to Walgreens or CVS, or even WalMart & have them copied that way.

This is my absolutely favorite software program. It will easily let you edit, sharpen, add contrast and bring some of the worst photos up to par. It may be expensive, but boy is it worth it. Picasa2 is a freebee I downloaded. It’s pretty good to work with and had no strings attached to the download. I also use HP Photo & Imaging. Another one that is great for making folders and setting up zip files is ‘Shortcut to my Pictures. In my portrait business, I use all of these. Each one has it’s strong features that the other doesn’t do quite as easily.
