There are several options for the selection of shielding gas for Duplex Stainless Steels. • Argon / Active Component • Argon / Helium / Active Component Duplex weld metals generally do not flow as well as standard 300 Series Stainless Steels. The addition of Helium will be beneficial in this area. An Active component will stabilize the arc.
