What is the best resolution for my design or photograph?

0

Anything from 300 dots per inch (DPI) or above will provide good results, although 200 DPI or greater will be acceptable. To work out the dots per inch of an image, divide the length of one side of the image (in dots or pixels) by the same dimension of the finished print size in inches. So, if you want your design to fill an A4 (210 x 297mm) size sheet of paper, the width is 8.3 inches. If the width of your design is 2500 dots, then the resolution is 2500 divided by 8.3 which gives 301 DPI – great!
