What is the best remedy for getting rid of moss(lots) from garden lawn.?
It’s not true that moss only grows in acidic shady soil – here in Hampshire, UK, it’s very alkaline and we have plenty of it! Every now and then I give it a good rake out with a powered rake, (go one way and then go again at 90 degrees to the first pass) and then sprinkle grass seed over the bare bits and feed it well. I never use moss killer as you still have to do the raking to get rid of the dead stuff, it doesn’t magically dissolve the moss, and also I’m concerned that none of the poisonous chemical goes into our pond. We have a satisfactory green tough sort of lawn, not bowling green standard but OK. If you want more than this you have to give up a lot of your life to making it happen!
