Unfortunately yes. And it involved cutting off the damage after. I have short hair so for me it wasn’t a big deal, but for someone with long hair or trying to grow it out it may be. If you want to go blond you can assume you won’t be able to get it much longer then it is now because bleach can be so damaging, but with enough conditioning and mild styling you might be able too…It just depends how well you take care of ur processed hair… I have dark brown hair myself and I use this product called Wella welllite…It’s great, just keep an eye on your hair while using it. I use 30 developer and it comes w instructions in the box…You may have to bleach it a couple times before you get the blond you desire. If your doing if yourself I would definitely suggest being patient and do the process of gradual bleaching for at least 2-3 times especially if your hair is already dyed. Bleach it…wait 3-4 weeks…bleach it again, trim it…wait 3-4 weeks bleach it, trim it…you might look silly
