You should use a floor or deck paint as it is designed to withstand the wear and tear. Read the label or ask the paint seller about muting/deglossing if desired. Many come in various degrees of gloss if a dull sheen is desired a wash with TSP can degloss the surface but before doing anything like that which may affect longevity I would call the paint manufacturer’s customer/tech support phone number.
