What is the best P2P network program?
The word “best” implies a certain amount of subjectivity; the best program for me may not be the best one for you. That said, I have tried a few and let me tell you what I have come up with. My first experiences were with programs that used the Gnutella network, and of those I found Limewire to be the best. Simple yet not dumbed-down, and it did what I wanted it to do. Limewire is a good program… but not the best. The reason I say that is that when I tried my first multi-network client, I noticed that the search terms that Limewire would get 2-5 hits on, a multi-network client would show a couple of hits on Gnutella and a dozen on eDonkey. I ran Shareaza for a bit as it was the best I found at the time, but the old versions were a bit of a resource hog. Still, I could find stuff that Limewire would show zero hits for. Then I decided to go back to a single-network client; one that used the eDoney network. Of those,I found eMule Plus to be the best. It’s an off-shoot of the original eM
This is just my 2 cents you needn’t have to trust my word for it. I am just going on the results I see day to day while using this program. most of the p2p software are often dirty and contain many viruses within the content you are downloading. This is because many of the P2P programs are offered for free and funding isn’t there to clean up the trash and offer a clean crisp virus free download. It has taken me years to find something worthy and perfectly safe to use to find files I need or want from games to software, movies and Mp3 files without worrying my anti virus program won’t detect a virus within the file. I personally use a paid program that offers everything I need and i can find virtually everything I need worry free. Very inexpensive for a one time 29$ USD fee. Saves me a lot of headaches related to worrying about ruining my operating system with programs such as limewire.
