What is the best p2p file sharing website?
The best p2p software is a bittorrent client. Azureus is one of the most popular clients right now. It can be downloaded at http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ Then all you need to do is search for what you want (artist/album/movie) at a popular bittorrent site (listed below). I like btjunkie.org, but you can use any. Then when you find what you want, you download the small torrent file. Double-click the torrent file and it will open in your bittorrent client and begin downloading. Yes, I know about limewire, it is not as useful to me since I download entire albums or discographies. Limewire is good, but only allows you to download single songs/videos.
For P2P, Limewire is probably the best (or Frostwire). It’s certainly the most popular, and it uses the biggest network (Gnutella). Bittorrent is a better system than P2P, though. A P2P network works, essentially, by asking you to broadcast what you’re sharing. Someone finds it, and downloads it in what approximates a copy operation. In the Bittorrent system, a tracker is created and advertised. To download the file, you connect to this tracker, and it tells your PC where the files are. The files are split into ‘bits’, which can be downloaded in any order, so when there’s more than one person sharing that file, you can download different bits from each at a time, so you get it faster.
