What is the best multiple effects pedal for an electrics guitar?
I really like my Boss GT-3…. it’s very versatile, very programmable, and complements my sound well. The only multifx distortion I’ve ever liked, though, came in the form of a Boss OD-20, which is a distortion stompbox modeling pedal. So I use the GT-3 for clean stuff, and run the OD-20 (or a Metal Zone, or might even spring for a Metalcore) for distortion. The GT-x series is incredibly programmable… you will be overwhelmed with how much you can do with it, but once you wade through the options you’ll realize how bloody sweet of a pedal they are. I can tap tempo my delay and chorus in sync using the ctrl button as a tap tempo, then use my expression pedal as a solo boost with more gain as you approach up to halfway back, then after that start adding extra layers of reverb/echo and … I dunno, like ring modulation or guitar harmonies. It’s frickin cool.
