A. There are basically (four) types of TP Installations: • Overhead Braced are Floor Mounted and are also braced overhead with Headrail, which stabilizes the partitions. These are strong, stable and by far the most common installation. • Floor Mounted & Ceiling Braced have the Pilasters at full height and run from the floor to the ceiling. This style is relatively uncommon but has the extra stability of attaching the pilasters both into the floor and at the ceiling. • Floor Mounted is the same as Overhead Braced except there is no Headrail. These partitions can become unsteady with use since there is nothing tying the tops of the Pilasters together. They are often easily moved out of alignment and can result in doors that do not close or latch properly. • Ceiling Hung has the Pilasters mounted into the ceiling using special backing or brackets installed, usually during construction.
