If you go to: Mobil’s website they’ll inform you exactly which viscosity to use. Check me if you like. The site calls for 5W-20. Your glove compartment handbook most likely says the same thing. Honda knows what they are doing. The site is so refined it asks if you intend on driving it in sub-0 weather, # of miles on your car, weather or not it’s under factory warranty. There’s absolutely no sense in using a higher viscosity than your handbook calls for. The poor little oil pump actually works harder, pushes less oil volume and sucks engine power trying to pump molasses (thick oil) through the oil system. Lighter viscosity oil allows the motor to run cooler as it *adsorbs* engine heat much more efficiently and it runs back to the oil pump quicker. You always get better fuel economy using the recommended viscosity oil Mobil1 is by far the best choice. If none of this makes any sense to you go to Joe Gibbs Racing oil. and see what Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin & Kyle Bush uses when qualifing
