What is the best method to retrieve coiled tubing that has parted in the well?
When coiled tubing breaks, it usually does not leave a slick fish neck to latch on to and retrieve. A special Baker Oil Tools fishing system frees and retrieves the coiled tubing that has been parted downhole in two or three runs. First, a motor and flat bottom junk mill or shoe are run to dress off the top of the parted coiled tubing. With the bend portions removed, the coiled tubing becomes easier to engage during the next phase of the operation.
