What is the best material for crochet and knitting needle?
Hi, I would start knitting and crochet and want to get the best tools. What are the best materials for crochet and knitting needle in your opinion and why? , Metal, bamboo, wood, plastic, anything else? Many thanks. After using the hooks and needles for a variety of materials, I like metal (not aluminum) and wood, although the borosilicate glass needles I love it, depending on the cable, I work with. Metal needles are tough and work well for knitters and crocheters and experienced almost every child, son, but some others, especially cotton fibers, silk, llamas and alpacas are very slippery to work and are easier to control in the hands of wood or bamboo, as these materials have rougher surface that holds the cable more firmly. I do not use aluminum hands, and I’ve found over time that these needles aggravated the arthritis in my hands, although other non-metal needles.
