What is the best location for my new hive?
When you set up your hive, make sure you select a location away from people and if possible near a water source like a lake or small stream. Also keep in mind that bees travel in regular flyways between the hive and their food and water, so don’t select a location that has people and bees crossing paths. It is best to place the hive facing South and it is a good idea to place hives where a wind block is in place for hives that go into cold weather.
