What is the best length for a paintball sniper rifle?
Both of the previous answer are slightly inaccurate. Size matters. But not how you think it does. Anything over 14″ is a waste. Literally. Anything over 14″ and you waste air. Ideally you want something 12-14″. It’s a myth in paintball that a longer barrel will get you better accuracy. In regards to the flatline barrel mentioned above……these are only available for tippmann markers. The barrel puts backspin on the ball allowing the ball to travel straighter longer, rather than arching a shot to get it where you need it to go. As far as the “sniper” aspect goes……since there are caps on what is safe velocities to play at (masks are rated at 300 fps so most fields cap below that)…..you aren’t really going to be shooting farther or harder than anyone else out there. If you want to be a sniper working on the hiding and stealth aspects of the game. Get some good camo and lay down.
